Colombian superstar Shakira has taken to social media to condemn the proliferation of fake images generated by artificial intelligence, which depict her in scenarios that never occurred.

She expressed gratitude to her fans for their ability to distinguish between her real-life moments and those that are falsely created, and for helping to disseminate this information effectively.

One instance that caused discomfort among fans involved circulating photos and videos of Shakira dining with Mexican actor Manuel García-Rulfo in Miami, sparking romance speculation. Later, a social media account reportedly shared a montage allegedly showing the singer kissing the actor outside a Los Angeles hotel, claiming they were in the early stages of a romance, despite the original images showing only friendly interaction.
