Shakira releases Spanish version of 'Dai Dai,' the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Colombian superstar Shakira has released the Spanish version of 'Dai Dai,' the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The announcement was made on her Instagram account on August 7, 2026.

'Dai Dai' was first released in May, prior to the tournament's start, and features multiple languages including English, Spanish, Italian, French, and Japanese. The title itself is an Italian colloquialism used to express encouragement, akin to 'let's go, let's go.'

Shakira, alongside Nigerian artist Burna Boy, performed the anthem during the championship's opening ceremony in Mexico City on June 11. They also performed during halftime of the final match, held in the United States, accompanied by the Ugandan dance group Ghetto Kids.

In a move highlighting the song's philanthropic purpose, all copyright proceeds are directed to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. This initiative aims to raise $100 million to ensure children globally have access to education and the sport of football.
