"Shame": Kyiv sees large protest march

Hundreds gathered in Kyiv on Friday evening for a protest march, starting from Shevchenko Park and heading towards Ivan Franko Square. The central demand of the demonstrators is the reinstatement of Mykhailo Fedorov to the Ministry of Defense. Participants expressed conviction that Fedorov's cooperation with the new Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Mykhailo Drapat, would bolster Ukraine's position on the battlefield.

Organizers also highlighted their desire for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to address questions that have been surfacing in protests across the country. Dmytro Koziatynskis, a veteran and one of the rally's initiators, announced the event the day before, inviting citizens to join the protest march for dialogue and reforms in the defense sector.

As of 9 p.m., the rally was taking place near the Franko Theater, close to the presidential administration building, with new participants continuously joining. Protesters chanted slogans such as "Shame," "Power is the people," and "Don't break what works." The core message conveyed by the participants is a plea for the government to listen to their concerns, with organizers repeatedly stressing that the primary goal of the event is to ensure effective communication between the government and the public.
