Sharing the Joy of Watching a Film Together with Orphans in Sukabumi

Smiles and laughter filled the Sams Studio in Sukabumi as children watched the Indonesian version of the film "Children of Heaven." The special screening was organized by DT Peduli Sukabumi and the Hijabers Mom Community (HMC) to celebrate Muharram, known as "Orphan's Day."

The event aimed to provide more than just entertainment; it sought to impart lessons on love, perseverance, and gratitude through the film's narrative. After the movie, Ustaz Abi Sandi from Pesantren Yatim Nyalindung delivered a religious talk, reinforcing messages of thankfulness, filial piety, and the importance of pursuing dreams. The children also received donations as a gesture of care during the holy month.

Sixty-five members of the Hijabers Mom Community actively participated, accompanying the children and creating a warm, attentive atmosphere. One of the young attendees, Sriwedari, shared her motivation: "I became more motivated to be more grateful and more enthusiastic about learning."

The collaboration between HMC and DT Peduli Sukabumi served as a reminder that happiness can be found in simple gestures. A day filled with care, togetherness, and affection can create lasting memories and foster new hope in the hearts of orphaned children.
