Sharjah extends parking service hours without raising subscription fees

Sharjah City Municipality has implemented revised operating hours for its paid public parking services, extending them until 12:00 midnight. This change applies to parking areas throughout Sharjah City, Kalba, Khor Fakkan, and Al Dhaid, taking effect from Friday. The initiative aims to standardize parking fee collection times across the emirate.

Under the new regulations, all public parking spaces that are subject to fees will now operate under the extended schedule. This includes parking areas marked with yellow signs, which will now follow the same charging hours as those marked with blue signs, remaining chargeable until midnight. The municipality reiterated that parking will continue to be free on Fridays and official public holidays, consistent with existing rules.

Crucially, the Sharjah Municipality confirmed that this extension of paid parking hours will not result in any increase to seasonal subscription fees. Existing charges for subscribers will remain unchanged. However, subscribers will benefit from the extended coverage, gaining an additional two hours of parking access each day compared to the previous schedule.
