President Claudia Sheinbaum has announced a significant security reinforcement for Cuautla, Morelos, including an increased presence of the National Guard. This measure follows the recent arrest of the municipality's mayor, who is under investigation for alleged ties to criminal groups. The federal government is deploying a team to coordinate security efforts with the state administration and ensure peace in the region.

I gave the instruction since this arrest happened that a large team from the Government of Mexico should come to coordinate with the state government to assist the inhabitants of Cuautla, to guarantee peace and security.

Sheinbaum stated that the federal government's response aims to address the root causes of insecurity, with a particular focus on young people who are neither studying nor employed. During an event for the Housing for Well-being Program, she highlighted the need to expand educational opportunities in Cuautla, noting the current disparity between public and private high schools. She instructed the Secretary of Public Education to establish at least ten new public high schools.

Furthermore, federal government brigades will begin a "house-to-house" operation next week to identify adolescents and young people who have dropped out of school. The goal is to encourage them to return to their studies, emphasizing that education is a crucial alternative to delinquency. The Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare has also been directed to expand the "Youth Building the Future" program in Cuautla, offering more job training and employment opportunities through local businesses.
