Sheraton Golf Classic concludes 14th edition with international participation

The Sheraton Golf Classic celebrated its 14th successful edition, concluding with a vibrant presentation night that honored top performers among the more than 200 international participants. The week-long event brought together professionals, amateurs, and women golfers, solidifying its status as a premier golfing competition in the Pacific.

Organizers highlighted the tournament's growing stature and its role in promoting competitive golf while encouraging international engagement in the region. The closing ceremony featured entertainment and festivities, celebrating the week's achievements.

Among the standout winners was New Zealand professional Josh Geary, who claimed the Best Gross title. Geary, a long-time participant, expressed his enjoyment of the event as a welcome break from the New Zealand winter and a chance to reconnect with peers. "I’ve been here for the last 14 years... I think I’ve won it once before; this is my second win, so pretty cool," he remarked.

First-time participant Devon Henare, who won the women's Best Gross, found the experience particularly meaningful, especially with her father coaching her. The tournament also emphasized a broader message, encouraging youth participation in sports for physical and mental well-being. The Sheraton Golf Classic continues to be a key fixture, blending high-level competition with community spirit and cultural exchange.
