Shock and sorrow grip Helsinki's Kontula after fatal stabbing

Police suspect a 66-year-old man of stabbing the woman to death. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities stating the man did not know the victim. According to Helsingin Sanomat, the suspect fled the scene by metro and was apprehended shortly after in Mellunmäki. Bystanders heard the woman cry for help and rushed to her aid, but she died despite resuscitation efforts by arriving ambulance personnel.
