Shock in Ibiza: Man falls from seventh-floor balcony

A shocking incident occurred in the popular tourist resort of Ibiza, Spain, where a 29-year-old Colombian man fell naked from a seventh-floor balcony, a height of approximately 30 meters. The man is currently in critical condition and fighting for his life.

Eyewitnesses recounted scenes of panic as the man, who was visiting friends, fell from the Tanit building in San Antonio, a well-known nightlife hub. Video footage captured the tourist precariously perched on the balcony edge, attempting to climb back up before losing his balance and falling. He reportedly struck lower balconies before hitting the ground.

Medical professionals report that the man sustained a fractured pelvis, chest injuries, and severe head trauma. He underwent immediate surgery and remains in intensive care in a "very serious condition." The Spanish Civil Guard is investigating the cause of the fall, reviewing security camera footage.

This incident has reignited concerns about safety in Ibiza's tourist areas, which have seen similar tragedies. Just a day prior, a 19-year-old American was seriously injured in a 12-meter fall onto rocks. In 2017, a 26-year-old British tourist died in the same Tanit building after falling while trying to enter his apartment from the balcony.

Authorities are reiterating warnings to visitors about dangerous behaviors, such as excessive alcohol consumption or drug use, and leaning over balcony edges. They emphasize that such accidents are preventable with basic safety precautions and responsible conduct during holidays.
