Showfa Express and Paymaster launch flat-rate parcel delivery service

Showfa Express Limited and Paymaster Jamaica have partnered to introduce a new flat-rate parcel delivery service, promising customers a more reliable and cost-effective way to send and receive packages. The service, named Showfa One, was officially launched at Paymaster's head office in St Andrew.

There are people who don’t have reliable transport or transportation costs, and the time can be prohibitive. So Paymaster, being very good at moving money and Showfa, being very good at moving goods, the collaboration is aimed at creating just one more efficient thing for people in Jamaica.

Under the Showfa One service, customers can send and receive packages that fit within a standard envelope for a flat fee of $690. This service is available at four selected Paymaster locations: Molynes Road and Burke Road in Spanish Town, as well as the Mandeville and May Pen branches. This initiative is designed to benefit individuals who face challenges with transportation costs and time constraints.

Jamie Hall, CEO of Showfa Express Limited, stated that the collaboration leverages Paymaster's expertise in money transfer and Showfa's proficiency in goods delivery to create a more efficient service for Jamaicans. Showfa Express, established in 2023 and currently operating across several parishes, plans to expand its coverage islandwide by the end of the year.

This is another way of providing further convenience to our customer base, where we realise that moving things from place to place, documents and so on is a great need and it will provide an additional thing that customers can do for their one-stop experience at Paymaster.

Athinia Campbell, Acting General Manager of Paymaster, noted that the partnership aligns with the company's goal of enhancing accessibility and convenience for its customers. She highlighted that this service provides an additional convenient option for customers using Paymaster's one-stop services. Angeline Barrett-Stewart, head of sales at Paymaster, added that the flat-rate service would be particularly beneficial for small entrepreneurs needing to deliver products to their customers, offering an easy, convenient, and cost-effective solution for business needs.

Currently there is a need for courier services and we see it in the changing economy, what’s happening in the economy now. Persons need a way to connect with not just their loved ones but also to do business and we think this provides an easy, more convenient cost-effective way for persons to get these tasks done.
