Sigrid Sollund leaves NRK after 25 years for new role at Morgenbladet

After a quarter-century with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), prominent journalist Sigrid Sollund is moving to the newspaper Morgenbladet. Sollund, who has been a familiar face and voice at NRK, will begin her new role in the autumn, taking up a newly created position at the publication.

Sollund has had a distinguished career at NRK, serving in numerous capacities. She has worked as a presenter and reporter for programs like "Ukeslutt" and "Søndagsavisa." For the last five years, she has been the respected host of the popular debate program "Dagsnytt 18," a role from which she is now departing.

Expressing her feelings about the move, Sollund stated, "For many years, I have had one of the most rewarding jobs in Norwegian journalism. I cannot imagine anything other than Morgenbladet that could lure me away from Dagsnytt 18." Her departure marks the end of a significant chapter in her career and at NRK.

Morgenbladet's editor-in-chief, Sun Heidi Sæbø, revealed that the newspaper has developed a concept specifically tailored for Sollund. "We have a concept that is designed for, with, and by Sigrid, and which she will help develop together with our ambitious audio department, editors, and other skilled colleagues," Sæbø announced. This bespoke role highlights the value Morgenbladet places on Sollund's expertise and vision.
