Singer Harith Zazman prioritizes family, pauses music career for fatherhood

Malaysian singer Harith Zazman revealed he deliberately slowed his artistic output for the past two years, dedicating his time to the early stages of his family life. The 32-year-old artist, whose full name is Mohamad Harith Saifuzzaman, explained that this hiatus was to prepare for his responsibilities as a father and to balance commitments with his then-four-year-old son.

"After releasing my last solo song about two years ago, I took a break to prepare for my responsibilities as a father," Harith stated. "In the early days of marriage, I admit it was difficult and I worried about how to divide my time between career and family. That's why I chose to focus on family matters first and ensure everything was stable before returning to the recording studio. My son is still young, and many things need managing, including putting him to sleep. So, I wanted to learn to balance these things first."

Harith shared these insights at the Sempurna media conference at Universal Music Malaysia. He emphasized his desire not to leave his wife, Nuramalina Ghani, to manage their son, Farrel Ali, alone. "I felt sad seeing my wife give birth, and I didn't want to let her take care of our child by herself. I chose to give my wife time to rest and to focus together on our son's upbringing," he said. Lacking formal guidance, Harith relied on YouTube tutorials and advice from friends with more parenting experience.

Before this break, Harith, who actively entered the Malaysian music scene, had released at least seven songs following his 2020 hit "Cute." He married Nuramalina Ghani in 2021, and the couple has one son.
