British singer Lauren Bennett, who gained international recognition as a featured artist on LMFAO's global hit "Party Rock Anthem" and as a member of the girl group G.R.L., has died at the age of 37. Her former band confirmed the news on Instagram, expressing profound sadness over her passing.

Bennett rose to prominence during the 2010s, a period often described as a golden age for teen pop and R&B. G.R.L.'s most successful single was "Ugly Heart" in 2014. However, her collaboration with LMFAO on "Party Rock Anthem" achieved even greater success, remaining on the Finnish singles chart for 21 weeks and reaching fifth place at its peak. She also featured on Pitbull's 2014 hit "Wild Wild Love" with G.R.L.

Born in Kent, England, in 1989, Bennett moved to Los Angeles at just 17 to pursue her music career. She participated in the talent show "The X Factor" and joined the band Paradiso Girls before becoming part of G.R.L. The group, formed as a spin-off of The Pussycat Dolls, experienced a brief but impactful run, marked by the tragic suicide of member Simone Battle in 2014. The band later reunited in 2020.
