Singer Veronika Leaves Band The Ditties After 15 Years

Veronika Čičinskaitė-Golovanova, a singer in the Lithuanian band The Ditties, has announced her departure from the group after 15 years. She stated that the decision was not spontaneous and had been on her mind for some time.

Čičinskaitė-Golovanova found the timing symbolic, marking both the band's 15th anniversary and the release of their new original album. For years, she simultaneously pursued her solo work as Veronika ChiChi, writing music, performing with various ensembles, and undertaking other creative projects. However, she acknowledged that The Ditties had always received the majority of her creative energy.

She explained that a point had been reached where dedicating only a portion of herself to her solo work was no longer sufficient. Čičinskaitė-Golovanova expressed gratitude for the 15 years with The Ditties, calling it a significant period in her life. She views her departure as a graceful conclusion to one chapter and the beginning of a new one.

Moving forward, her full attention will be directed toward her solo creations, personal projects, and music. She plans to record a new solo album by the end of August, with more new music, concerts, and creative endeavors planned for listeners.
