Širvintos City Festival Features Shine: Famous National Faces Appeared on Stage

The town of Širvintos held its annual festival, offering a wide array of entertainment for attendees throughout the day. Festivities kicked off at 10 a.m. with a vibrant market showcasing handmade crafts from various artisans. The event also featured interactive educational performances for children by the Alytus Puppet Theater "Aitvaras."

Attendees enjoyed numerous activities, including outdoor games, water park attractions, and educational sessions on proper waste sorting organized by "Žaliasis taškas." Younger visitors were entertained with shows by "Burbulų dėdė" (Uncle Bubble) and pony rides in a creative courtyard hosted by the Širvintos Open Youth Center.

As the day progressed, the festival highlighted the work of the fire and rescue service and police officers through preventive and educational activities. The evening culminated in a spectacular lineup of performances by well-known Lithuanian artists. Mayor Živilė Pinskuvienė delivered a welcoming address and recognized key sponsors before the stage welcomed Martynas Kavaliauskas, Gabrielius Vagelis, Paulina Paukštaitytė, and Kastytis Kerbedis, each with their bands.

The celebration concluded with a dazzling fireworks display, followed by a disco party with DJ Senjasa, ensuring a memorable end to the Širvintos city festival.
