Six members of 'La Dinastía Tocorón' arrested for stealing 37 weapons in Surco

Police and prosecutors have captured six suspected members of the criminal gang "La Dinastía Tocorón" for their alleged involvement in a daring armorery heist. The group is accused of stealing 37 weapons, including 29 pistols, six shotguns, and two carbines, from an establishment in Surco on May 28. The robbery was swift, lasting between two and three minutes, with the perpetrators entering the store disguised as customers. The arrests followed a 63-day investigation led by the fourth dispatch of the First Corporate Criminal Prosecutor's Office of Santiago de Surco-Barranco. The operation, headed by provincial prosecutor Diana Regalado, included preliminary detentions of César Riera, Edgar Rodríguez, Rafael Rodríguez, Junior Reyes, Carlos Tisnado, and Olga Guevara. Law enforcement executed searches and seizures in the districts of San Martín de Porres, San Juan de Miraflores, Los Olivos, and Pachacamac. According to the investigation, after the robbery, the suspects fled on four motorcycles and a stolen vehicle. They reportedly took the stolen firearms to a recreational center in Pachacámac to conceal them. Investigators were able to trace the gang's activities, identify the roles of its members in planning and executing the assault, and in the subsequent transport and hiding of the stolen goods. During the operation, authorities confiscated vehicles, documents, mobile phones, cash, electronics, passports, bank cards, jewelry, laptops, helmets, clothing, and firearms. These seized items are expected to bolster the ongoing investigation. Security footage from the day of the robbery showed three individuals entering the armorery with bags to collect the displayed weapons. Employees had noted the store's security measures, including two independent doors that opened only for verified buyers.
