Six Palestinians injured in West Bank attacks, including two paramedics

Israeli forces and settlers carried out a series of attacks across the occupied West Bank, injuring six Palestinians, including two paramedics, authorities reported Friday. The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated its crews treated a man beaten by Israeli forces in Beit Furik, east of Nablus, who was later arrested. Settlers also vandalized a Palestinian-owned vehicle in the same town.

In Bethlehem, three Palestinians sustained injuries when settlers attacked vehicles in the Abu Njeim area. An ambulance crew responding to the injured in the nearby Khalayel al-Louz area was also targeted with stones, injuring two paramedics and damaging the vehicle, according to the PRCS.

These incidents follow a week of Israeli military raids in the West Bank, including a two-day operation in the Qalandiya refugee camp that injured 48 people. Palestinian monitors have recorded more than 11,000 attacks in the West Bank since January. Since October 2023, at least 1,182 Palestinians have been killed and approximately 13,000 injured in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian officials.

Rights groups assert that the escalating violence aims to solidify Israel's illegal control over Palestinian towns and villages. The UN Human Rights Office has noted that settlers and Israeli forces "frequently attack families, burn mosques and destroy and confiscate property," with movement restrictions becoming "tighter than ever."
