SK AX Partners with KOPEC for AI in Power and Energy Sectors

SK AX and Korea Power Engineering Company (KOPEC) have agreed to collaborate on artificial intelligence (AI) transformation within the power and energy industries. This partnership aims to significantly boost industrial competitiveness by leveraging AI to optimize operations throughout the entire lifecycle of power plants, encompassing design, construction, and maintenance.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was officially signed on July 2, 2026, at the SK U Tower located in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. The agreement signifies a commitment from both entities to explore and implement AI-driven solutions tailored for the unique demands of the power and energy sectors.

This collaboration is expected to streamline processes, improve predictive maintenance, and enhance overall efficiency in power generation and distribution. By integrating AI technologies, SK AX and KOPEC intend to set new standards for operational excellence and innovation in a critical industrial domain.
