Sleeper bus crashes into tractor-trailer on Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway

A sleeper bus crashed into a tractor-trailer on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway in Vietnam's Lam Dong province early on June 7. The collision happened around 2:30 a.m. at Km 30, near Tan Hoa village, Tan Lap commune.

The sleeper bus, driven by a 49-year-old man from Khanh Hoa province, was traveling towards Dong Nai when it struck the rear of the tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer was being driven by a 46-year-old man from Thanh Hoa province.

The impact severely damaged the front of the sleeper bus. Several passengers sustained injuries, with one assistant driver suffering serious harm. Those injured were taken to the Ham Tan regional medical center for initial treatment. Some patients with more severe injuries were transferred to Binh Thuan General Hospital.

Medical staff reported treating seven patients with various injuries, mostly abrasions and soft tissue wounds. Emergency services, including ambulances, were dispatched to the scene. Traffic police from Highway No. 6, along with tuyến management units, secured the area, managed traffic, and began investigating the cause of the accident. After the scene was cleared, a tow truck removed the damaged bus, and traffic flow on the expressway resumed.
