Slovenian Couple Arrested in Istria After Restaurant Brawl, Threats to Police

A violent incident at a restaurant in Lovrečica, Istria, concluded with the arrest of two Slovenian nationals, a 54-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man. The pair are accused of multiple offenses, including death threats, bodily harm, and resisting law enforcement. The confrontation escalated after police responded to a report of a public disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers found the situation had calmed, but the two suspects continued to shout insults at the police. The woman allegedly issued death threats to the officers. When informed she was under arrest, she attempted to flee, prompting officers to use force. The younger man then intervened, grabbing an officer's arm and attempting to prevent the arrest of the woman.

Further investigation revealed that before police arrived, the suspects had clashed with three other individuals at the restaurant's terrace: an 80-year-old woman, an 86-year-old man, and a 44-year-old person. The suspects are believed to have threatened and physically harmed these individuals.

The 54-year-old woman faces charges for five counts of threats and two counts of bodily harm. The 20-year-old man is charged with two counts of threats, two counts of bodily harm, and one count of coercion against a public official. Both were handed over to the Istrian Police Administration's detention unit.
