Slovenian women's volleyball team reaches European League final undefeated

The Slovenian women's national volleyball team has secured a spot in the European League final, maintaining their undefeated streak with a decisive 3-0 victory over Slovakia in the second semifinal match. The team's dominance was evident as they swept Slovakia again, with set scores of 15, 17, and 27 in Ljubljana.

Under the guidance of coach Alessandro Orefice, Slovenia has not dropped a single set throughout the entire competition. They have achieved a perfect record, winning all eight matches with maximum scores. This remarkable performance sets them up for a final showdown against Sweden.

Sweden advanced to the final after defeating Hungary in their semifinal, winning 3-2 away and 3-1 at home. Slovenia had already established a significant advantage in the first leg in Nitra, but a win in Ljubljana was crucial to avoid a potential golden set.

Maša Pucelj and Fatoumatta Sillah were the top scorers for Slovenia with 14 points each. Saša Planinšec contributed significantly with four blocks, while Nike Milošič added two aces. The team's strong performance, particularly in serves and defense, ensured their comfortable progression to the final.
