Small plane crashes in Hermosillo; three crew members injured

A Cessna 206 aircraft crashed Tuesday in the vicinity of the El Charolais ranch, southeast of Hermosillo, Sonora. The accident resulted in injuries to the three individuals on board, according to preliminary reports from emergency authorities.

The State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) stated the crash occurred near kilometer 24 of the highway to La Colorada, in the Estación Torres area. Responding to the incident were units from the Hermosillo Fire Department, Sonora Civil Protection, State Police, the Coordinating Center for Medical Emergencies (CRUM), and the Secretariat of National Defense, among other rescue teams.

Firefighters from Hermosillo provided immediate pre-hospital attention to the injured. Initial reports indicated that the aircraft lost contact with air traffic control before falling to the ground, which triggered a search and rescue operation. Rescuers located three adult men at the crash site, all sustaining various injuries.

Authorities reported that, preliminarily, none of the occupants' injuries are life-threatening, although they remain under medical observation. The area was secured to mitigate risks and facilitate the work of the rescue teams. The coordination among different agencies helped manage the situation and ensure the care of the injured. The causes of the accident and the identities of the aircraft's occupants have not yet been released, and investigations are being handled by the relevant aviation and safety authorities.
