Adeleke, running under the Accord Party, was declared the winner of the August 15, 2026 Osun governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He secured 511,067 votes, defeating his closest competitor, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 444,815 votes. Adeleke's win was further solidified by his success in 19 out of the state's 30 local government areas.
