Sombr Wins Best Rock Song, 'KPop Demon Hunters' Takes Song of the Year at AMAs

Indie artist Sombr and the voices behind the animated film "KPop Demon Hunters" secured early awards at the American Music Awards on Monday. The fan-voted ceremony recognized Sombr, 20, with the best rock/alternative song award for his hit "Back to Friends."

The show kicked off with a performance by the K-pop group BTS, who delivered their song "Hooligan" dressed in all-black attire. Host Queen Latifah energized the audience, describing the atmosphere as "crazy." Taylor Swift entered the ceremony with the most nominations, eight in total, further cementing her status as the artist with the most AMA honors throughout her career.
