Son Denies Arrest of Former MP Azeez Rahim by MACC

The son of former Baling Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim has refuted claims that his father was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) on Saturday night.

Mohamed Khairul Azman stated that his father is currently at home and resting, directly contradicting the arrest reports. These rumors had been circulating widely on social media platforms since late Saturday. The reports suggested his father's arrest was linked to the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on Tabung Haji, which was made public on July 29.

Abdul Azeez, who previously chaired Tabung Haji, had reportedly expressed his full cooperation with any investigations concerning the RCI report. A special parliamentary session was held last Tuesday to present and debate the findings of the report among Members of Parliament. Khairul Azman conveyed his thanks for the public's concern and expressed hope for a fair and transparent investigation process.
