Son Heung-min scores again, extending streak to four games in MLS draw

Son Heung-min continued his impressive scoring form in Major League Soccer, netting his fourth consecutive goal in LAFC's 1-1 draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps on August 2. The South Korean superstar's goal, his fourth in league play and sixth of the season, extended his hot streak that began after the World Cup.

Son opened the scoring in the 37th minute of the match, held at BC Place in Vancouver. He received a pass from teammate Denis Bouanga, turned with his back to the goal, and fired a precise right-footed shot into the net. Football statistics website FotMob awarded Son the highest rating on his team for the match, with 7.7 points.

Since returning to his club after the World Cup, Son has been in exceptional form, contributing four goals and one assist in four league appearances. Including his multi-goal performance in the MLS All-Star game, he has now scored in five consecutive matches. This marks the second time in his career that Son has achieved a four-game scoring streak in the league, and he will aim for a fifth consecutive league game with a goal against San Diego FC on August 16.

The match between LAFC and Vancouver, both contenders in the Western Conference, ended in a 1-1 draw after Vancouver's Thomas Müller equalized with a penalty kick in the 76th minute. The result leaves LAFC in second place in the Western Conference with 34 points, trailing Vancouver on goal difference.
