Son of Angeliki Nikolouli receives international award for film 'Best Friends Forever'

Greek director Konstantinos Mousoulis has earned another international accolade, receiving the Audience Award at the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival for his film "Best Friends Forever."

The talented filmmaker's achievement underscores his growing reputation on the global stage. Mousoulis shared his profound gratitude on Instagram, thanking his supporters for their encouragement throughout his creative process. The success of "Best Friends Forever" internationally signifies a crucial step in the career of the Greek creator, who has consistently distinguished himself at international festivals.

This journey was a gift. I hadn't returned to Los Angeles in years, a city where I lived for almost a decade. I had experiences there that shaped me as a person. The streets and buildings evoked memories, and the city had a different pulse than I remembered. And then came the screening of our film, where very important people for me were in the audience, whom I hadn't seen in years. The film made them laugh, but also moved them. What a wonderful feeling…

Reflecting on the experience, Mousoulis described his return to Los Angeles, a city where he lived for nearly a decade, as a journey filled with poignant memories. The screening of his film brought together important people from his past, eliciting both laughter and tears from the audience. He felt a deep sense of gratitude towards the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival for hosting the event and towards the audience for honoring him and the film's collaborators with the Audience Award.

His mother, Angeliki Nikolouli, a well-known television presenter, had previously expressed her pride in her son's work when the film, "Filoi gia Panta" (Best Friends Forever), was released in March. She described it as a wonderful film with humor and emotion, calling it "the best thing for a mother."
