South American U17 Rowing Championship to be held in Asunción Bay in July

Paraguay is set to host the South American U17 Rowing Championship "Asunción 2026" from July 10-12 in the Bay of Asunción. This event adds to a series of rowing competitions held in the country this year, including South American championships for Master, Junior, and Senior categories in April. The Paraguayan Rowing Federation (Fepare), which celebrated its 59th anniversary on June 9, is organizing the continental youth event. Athletes from across the region, both male and female, are preparing for the competition. In a gesture of support coinciding with its anniversary, the National Secretariat of Sports (SND) donated two aluminum boats equipped with outboard motors to Fepare. The donation, made at Fepare's headquarters, aims to enhance safety and logistical support for rowing practices and competitions, reinforcing the state entity's commitment to strengthening national sports, particularly rowing. The handover ceremony was attended by Fepare's president, Pablo Seitz, and SND authorities.
