South Korea Announces June 16th Personnel Appointments and Transfers

South Korea saw a series of personnel appointments and transfers across several government ministries and public institutions, effective June 16th. These changes reflect ongoing administrative adjustments and the movement of key personnel within the public sector.

Notable appointments include 임종철 (Im Jong-cheol) as the Head of the Public Status Inspection Team at the Personal Information Protection Commission. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced 홍인영 (Hong In-young) as the Head of Operations Support and 장동율 (Jang Dong-yul) as the Head of the Overseas Citizens Protection Division.

In the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, 문원탁 (Moon Won-tak) has been appointed as the Head of the Livestock Management Division within the Livestock Policy Office. The Ministry of Employment and Labor designated 이강욱 (Lee Kang-wook) as the Head of the Jinju Branch Office. The Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation appointed 이철규 (Lee Chul-gyu) as the Head of the Construction Business Division, a standing executive position.

Further personnel changes were announced at research institutes and other public organizations. 여인환 (Yeo In-hwan) will lead the Construction Test Certification Division at the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology. The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute named 이승환 (Lee Seung-hwan) as Head of Planning and 이인석 (Lee In-seok) as Head of Administration. At the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, 김명환 (Kim Myung-hwan) was appointed Head of Management Planning, with additional appointments at the department head level. Chosun News Press also announced 전영미 (Jeon Young-mi) as the Editor-in-Chief of Women Chosun.
