South Korea announces June 30 personnel appointments

South Korea has announced a series of personnel appointments and transfers across several government ministries and agencies, effective June 30. These changes impact leadership roles and key operational divisions, reflecting ongoing administrative adjustments within the government.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kim Soo-eun has been appointed as the Professor of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security. The Ministry of Government Legislation has seen transfers within its Economic Legislation Bureau, including Kim Hye-young. The Korea Intellectual Property Office has appointed new division directors and chief judges for the Intellectual Property Trial Board.

The Public Procurement Service has made changes in its Facilities Bureau, with Seol Myeong-soo named head of the Construction Bid Inspection Team. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KCDC) has announced promotions and transfers, including Ryu Si-ik as head of the Chungcheong Regional Disease Response Center and Lee Young-geun for the Gyeongnam Regional Disease Response Center.

Further appointments include Lee Young-jong as head of the Donghae Quarantine Station and various new section chiefs within the KCDC. The Korea Trade Insurance Corporation has announced promotions to department head and team leader levels, alongside transfers for key executive positions, including Lee Hee-yoon as head of the Korea-US Strategic Investment Support Group.

The National Parks Authority has appointed new regional directors and office heads, including Seol Jeong-wook as head of the Eastern Region Headquarters. The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation has also seen significant leadership changes, with Choi Woo-ning appointed acting head of the Racing and Gaming Headquarters. Numerous other promotions and transfers have been detailed across these and other public organizations.
