South Korea Cracks Down on Syringe Hoarding Amid Supply Concerns

Other companies were penalized for selling an excessive volume of syringes—over 620,000 units—to a mere 33 purchasing locations within a single week, far surpassing their typical distribution patterns. The MFDS has indicated that four of these companies will face criminal charges, while the remaining 28 will receive corrective orders. The ministry is actively operating a reporting center for hoarding activities and is committed to continuous monitoring and enforcement, analyzing daily production, sales, inventory, and distribution data.
