South Korean Government Announces Key Personnel Appointments

South Korea's Ministry of Interior and Safety has announced a series of personnel appointments and transfers affecting director-level and division-chief-level officials. Shin Ji-hye has been appointed to the Basic Social Policy Division Director within the Basic Society Planning Group, a move signaling a focus on social policy initiatives.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy also reported significant personnel shifts. Choi Hye-jin was promoted to head the Patent Support Division, while Yoon Jong-seong will lead the Masan Free Trade Zone Administration. In other changes, Kim Jeong-ki takes over as Director of the Resource Security Policy Division, with Yoon Sun-young and Lee Min-young appointed to lead the Trade Agreement Policy Planning and Negotiation Divisions, respectively.

Further adjustments were made across various government bodies. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport appointed Kim Dong-ik as the head of the Railway Safety Policy Division. The Ministry of Government Legislation named Kim Ju-hye as the head of the Legal Advisory Division 2 within the Legal Advisory Coordination Office.

The Korea Press Promotion Foundation also announced its new leadership. Ahn Gye-hyun will serve as the Head of the Management Planning Office, Jin Min-jung as the Director of the Media Research Center, and Yoo Jae-jun as the Head of the Advertising Operations Division. Several team leader positions were also filled within the foundation.

Additionally, the Korea Racing Authority has appointed new senior executives. Lee Byung-woo will serve as Vice President and Head of the Customer Service Division, Bae Kwang-seok as Head of the Future Strategy Division, and Choo Wan-ho as Head of the Management Support Division and concurrently Head of the Horse Industry Division.
