South Korean PM: Year of recovery now needs focus on achievements' shadows

Prime Minister Kim Min-seok declared that the past year was dedicated to recovery, and the current period requires acknowledging the positive outcomes alongside lingering difficulties. He made these remarks on Tuesday morning during the 25th State Council meeting, which also served as the 21st Emergency Economic Headquarters meeting, held at the Government Complex Seoul.

Kim highlighted that while areas like artificial intelligence (AI) and the stock market have seen growth, the persistent effects of the conflict in the Middle East have left some economic indicators unresolved. He stressed the importance of a balanced perspective, looking at both the progress made and the areas still requiring attention.

"If the past year was a period focused on recovery, now is the time to look at the shadows of positive achievements together," Kim stated. He pointed to the dual nature of the current economic landscape, where advancements coexist with challenges stemming from global events.
