South Sumatra Government Encourages Productive Businesses for Citizen Welfare

The South Sumatra provincial government is actively motivating its citizens to participate in productive business activities as a key strategy for enhancing family income and overall welfare. This initiative spans all 17 districts and cities within the province.

Vice Governor Cik Ujang emphasized that fostering productive enterprises is seen as a crucial solution to various social issues plaguing the province. To support this, the provincial government is implementing comprehensive training programs designed to equip residents with adequate skills and motivation.

The training focuses on leveraging local potential, such as teaching residents to create handicrafts from materials like rattan and bamboo, or processing local fishery products like salted fish. These programs are tailored to the specific strengths of each region and are often conducted in groups to facilitate easier coordination and development.
