Spain 7s special for Kolinisau and Tuwai

The upcoming Spain 7s tournament carries special significance for two legendary figures in Fijian rugby: Osea Kolinisau and Jerry Tuwai. Both former Fiji 7s greats will reunite on the field, not as teammates, but as coaches for the team they once proudly represented. Kolinisau, now the head coach for the Fiji Airways Men’s 7s, expressed his anticipation for his first tournament with Tuwai, who recently joined as assistant coach.

"It’s good to have Jerry on board, adds a little more firepower into our attack," Kolinisau stated. "It’s been really helpful for me having Jerry helping out with attack and clarifying a lot of things with our playmakers." Tuwai's presence is already making a positive impact, with the squad benefiting from the extensive experience and leadership of one of Fiji's most decorated 7s stars.

The Fijian team is set to open their campaign against France, followed by matches against the United States and Spain in their pool play. Fans can watch these crucial matches live on FBC TV.
