Specialists at Daoud Khan hospital perform complex muscular surgery

Specialists at the Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan Hospital Complex in Kabul have successfully performed complex surgery on a patient suffering from a rare and advanced muscular disorder. The condition, caused by paralysis of the perineal muscles, had resulted in an imbalance of muscle strength, impaired coordination, and abnormal muscle tension, leading to serious health complications.

A team of specialists, led by Dr. Wali Ahmadzai, carried out the operation. The patient had previously sought treatment at several hospitals across Afghanistan but had been unable to find an effective solution. Following the surgery at Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan Hospital, the patient made a full recovery.

The hospital's medical services are primarily intended for military personnel and their families. However, since the return of the Islamic Emirate to power, the facility has expanded its services. It now provides healthcare to civilian patients daily after 3:00 p.m., in addition to treating military patients.
