Spectacular Knockout Puts Antonio Plazibat in Line for Title Fight

Croatian kickboxing star Antonio Plazibat delivered a stunning performance in Rotterdam, securing a knockout victory over his Algerian opponent, Anis Bouzid. The bout, part of the Glory Collision 9 event, went into an extra round after judges were divided following the initial rounds.

In the decisive extra round, the 32-year-old Plazibat unleashed a powerful series of eight punches, ending the fight with a brutal knockout. Bouzid was left unconscious on the canvas after a decisive blow to the chin.

This victory marks Plazibat's 24th professional win in his 29th fight, with 14 of those wins coming by knockout. Despite a previous loss in June 2023, which was compounded by an injury that sidelined him for two and a half years, Plazibat has made a strong comeback.

The win against Bouzid, who was considered a technically skilled opponent, solidifies Plazibat's status as a top contender. The fight was billed as a potential eliminator bout, positioning Plazibat as a serious candidate to challenge for the championship title.
