'Spider-Man 4' Nears 6 Million Viewers, Poised for Record Box Office

The superhero film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is on the cusp of surpassing 6 million admissions in South Korea, demonstrating its significant box office draw.

Over its second weekend, from July 7 to 9, the movie attracted 1.26 million viewers. This brought its cumulative audience to 5.91 million, according to the Integrated Network of Admissions by Film. The film's strong performance suggests it will soon surpass the total admissions of its predecessors, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" (7.25 million) and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (7.55 million).

Industry projections indicate that "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is set to become the highest-grossing film within the "Tom-Spider" series. The movie picks up after the events of "Spider-Man: No Way Home," with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) having his identity erased from everyone's memory. He must confront a new threat and a mysterious adversary who uniquely remembers him, all while grappling with uncontrollable powers from a DNA mutation.

The film marks the first installment in the series in five years since "No Way Home." It features a star-studded cast including Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Marisa Tomei, alongside Holland. The directorial reins were taken by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for helming Marvel's "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings."
