Spotify Premium Subscribers Exceed 300 Million

Music and podcast streaming giant Spotify has announced a significant milestone, surpassing 300 million premium subscribers. This figure represents a 9% increase year-over-year for its paid user base. The company also revealed that its total user count, encompassing both premium and free-tier listeners, now exceeds 777 million, solidifying its position as the leading platform in its category.

These subscriber numbers were shared alongside Spotify's financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The company reported a substantial 14% rise in total revenue compared to the previous year, reaching 4.8 billion euros. This financial growth indicates a strong performance in monetizing its vast user base.

In addition to premium subscriber growth, Spotify also saw a 12% increase in its monthly active users. This overall user engagement highlights the platform's continued popularity and reach in the competitive digital audio market.
