Srikandi Keadilan perlu bermuhasabah selepas kekalahan

The Srikandi (women's wing) of Malaysia's People's Justice Party (PKR) must engage in serious self-reflection following recent electoral losses, according to party chief Nurhidayah Che Rose. She emphasized the need to acknowledge shortcomings before mounting a stronger comeback.

After all the sacrifices, we need to ask, what must we do differently after this?

Nurhidayah stated that the results from the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections serve as a clear message. The party, she argued, needs to be courageous not only in celebrating victories but also in critically assessing its weaknesses when facing defeat. This includes examining the readiness of its machinery, communication strategies, organizational strength, and candidate preparation.

We need to be brave enough to admit our own weaknesses from the issue of machinery readiness, communication, organizational strength, to how we prepare candidates.

She further cautioned against blaming external factors for losses. Instead, the party must look inward to identify and address internal organizational flaws. Nurhidayah stressed that election work cannot begin only after election dates are announced or candidates are chosen, as the public continuously evaluates the party's presence and actions.

Elections start the day after the previous election ends because the people do not wait for election season to evaluate us.

Additionally, Nurhidayah called for greater opportunities for young women leaders within the party. She believes they should not merely be token figures but actively involved in grassroots work, organizational management, and understanding party policies. She urged aspiring young leaders to prove their worth through competence, discipline, hard work, and performance when given opportunities, rather than just demanding positions.

Don't just ask for space. Prove that we are worthy of filling that space. Courage must come with knowledge. Boldness must come with discipline. Ambition must come with work and opportunities must be repaid with performance.
