St. Gabriel’s Students Lead Environmental Action for World Environment Day in Kiunga

Students and staff at St. Gabriel’s Technical Secondary School marked World Environment Day 2026 with a series of environmental awareness activities. They were joined by invited guests, community leaders, and government representatives for the celebration in Kiunga. The event aimed to promote environmental responsibility and sustainable living among young people.

The day's program featured a town clean-up campaign, tree planting initiatives, and educational presentations. Environmental competitions were also held to engage participants. The overarching theme for the celebration was “Inspired by Nature, For Climate, For Our Future – Together We Can Make a Difference.”
