Stan Wawrinka and Rodrigo Pacheco Star at Cancun Open Kids Day

The Cancun Country Open 2026 officially launched its activities with a vibrant Kids Day event, bringing together aspiring young tennis players and professional stars Stan Wawrinka and Rodrigo Pacheco.

Eighty-three children had a special opportunity to meet and interact with Stan Wawrinka, the main draw of the tournament's second edition. Following his training session, the renowned Swiss tennis player spent time with his young fans, signing autographs on balls, caps, and shirts, and posing for memorable photographs. Wawrinka also shared encouraging words and advice, motivating the children to pursue their dreams of becoming professional tennis players.

After Wawrinka's departure, Mexican tennis star Rodrigo Pacheco took center stage. He surprised the children by joining them on the court, engaging in playful rallies and testing the skills of the future stars. Pacheco even organized a doubles match, selecting the best pair to receive a special prize.

Similar to Wawrinka, Pacheco also provided autographs and photos for his young admirers. The Kids Day event successfully fostered a connection between professional athletes and the next generation, aiming to inspire a passion for tennis and create lasting memories for the participating children.
