'Standard Inspection Academy Marine Science Tour'親子闖關 event at NMMST on Saturday

The National Museum of Marine Science and Technology (NMMST) in Keelung is set to host a unique and engaging event this Saturday, April 25th, designed to bring families closer to the principles of quality inspection and consumer safety. In collaboration with the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), the museum presents the "Standard Inspection Academy Marine Science Tour – Precise Living GO!" This free, family-friendly event promises an interactive and educational experience, transforming the often-dry subject of standards and inspection into a fun-filled adventure.

NMMST Director Wang Ming-yuan highlighted the event's core mission: to foster a deeper understanding of correct consumption concepts and safety knowledge among children and parents. Through five themed areas and nine interactive game stations, participants will learn about crucial aspects of daily life, including the significance of the "CNS mark" (a symbol of quality and safety in Taiwan), product safety, metrology (the science of measurement), and the principles of net-zero transition. In today's world, where consumers are bombarded with product information and labels, this initiative is particularly timely, empowering individuals with the knowledge to make informed choices.

The event adopts a "challenge-based" format, where families can collect stamps by completing various activities. Upon collecting a set number of stamps, participants can fill out a questionnaire to redeem small prizes. This gamified approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also reinforces the key messages in a memorable way. Sessions are scheduled for two time slots: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, ensuring accessibility for many families.
