Stars to shine at German Radio Awards: Maffay, Oerding, and Zah1de to perform

The upcoming German Radio Awards ceremony in Hamburg on September 10 promises a night of both prestigious accolades and captivating musical performances. Esteemed musicians Peter Maffay and Johannes Oerding, alongside rapper Zah1de, are confirmed to take the stage, adding star power to the event.

These artists will be part of a lineup designed to entertain guests and celebrate the achievements in German radio. The North German Broadcasting (NDR) confirmed their participation, signaling a high-profile event for the industry. The gala will also feature performances by Tiffany Aris, Rea Garvey, and the cast of the "MJ - The Michael Jackson Musical" staged at the Stage Theater an der Elbe.

Hosted by the dynamic duo Katrin Bauerfeind and Thorsten Schorn, the ceremony will recognize excellence across ten distinct categories. The event aims to honor the best radio journalists and presenters in the country. The prestigious German Radio Award, established in 2010, is overseen by an independent jury from the Grimme-Institut, highlighting outstanding productions within the broadcasting sector.

Adding to the list of presenters are notable figures such as fashion designer and moderator Guido Maria Kretschmer, "Tagesschau" anchor Susanne Daubner, and comedian Lutz van der Horst.
