Stationery Queen Returns: Cathy Chen Exhibits After 30 Years, Fans Cheer 'My Youth Is Back'

Illustrator Cathy Chen, known for her "White Bag" characters, is participating in the 2026 Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) for the first time. This marks her return to the public eye after nearly 30 years, sparking excitement among fans who recall her work from their school days.

Chen rose to fame in the 1990s with her distinctive illustration style and warm writing. Her creations, including cards, stationery, notebooks, and merchandise, were integral to the youth of many high school students. She is now showcasing her classic works alongside new inspirations at the TCCF's commercial exhibition area, drawing significant attention from loyal followers.

The TCCF has also partnered with Nankang LaLaport for a cross-venue stamp collection event. This initiative features popular creators like Cathy Chen, Gugu Gaga, Xiuxiu House, and Meike Girls. Participants can collect stamps at the main exhibition and LaLaport to redeem limited daily gifts.

The TCCF's commercial exhibition runs from August 6th to August 12th at the Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1. August 6th and 7th are dedicated to professional buyers for business negotiations. Public viewing days are August 8th to 9th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and August 10th to 12th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. More details are available on the official TCCF website.
