Stop blaming Tinubu, Oyetola for your woes, APC replies Adeleke

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly refuted claims by Governor Ademola Adeleke that President Bola Tinubu and former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola are responsible for his political difficulties. The APC urged Adeleke to cease blaming others for his perceived woes.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, the APC addressed Adeleke's remarks made at a campaign rally. Adeleke had accused Tinubu and Oyetola of political persecution, despite having endorsed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election. The APC dismissed these allegations as frivolous and a tactic to justify an impending electoral defeat.

The unsubstantiated allegations of Governor Adeleke, who covers his inadequacy by resorting to dancing when an injection of intellect is needed against President Tinubu, and Oyetola are misplaced and frivolous, as such amount to making a justification for his imminent defeat in the forthcoming governorship election.

The APC spokesperson further criticized Governor Adeleke, accusing him of fostering political violence and empowering alleged political thugs with appointments. Olabisi questioned why Adeleke would grant amnesty to individuals serving jail terms shortly before the governorship election. The party asserted that Adeleke's focus should be on his performance, which will be evaluated in the upcoming August 15 governorship election, rather than making unsubstantiated accusations.
