2027: Sowore rates Tinubu administration ‘F9’

Omoyele Sowore, the 2027 presidential candidate for the African Action Congress, delivered a scathing assessment of President Bola Tinubu's administration, awarding it an "F9 across all parameters." Sowore, who is also the publisher of Sahara Reporters, cited widespread failures in critical sectors including security, power, education, healthcare, food security, and the economy.

During an appearance on Channels Television, Sowore detailed his criticisms, pointing to the national grid's frequent collapses over the past three years and Nigeria's designation as a country requiring food aid by the Food and Agriculture Organization. He also highlighted a dramatic increase in multidimensionally poor people, from 70 million to 140 million, and noted that even the president seeks medical care abroad, implying a lack of faith in the nation's healthcare system.

When pressed to identify any positive aspects of Tinubu's three-year tenure, Sowore stated he could find none. "Nothing, because I rate the government from a number of parameters, and one of it is security. You know where we are, failed," he asserted. He concluded his critique by saying that if President Tinubu were a student in his class, he would be asked to leave.

Sowore rejected comparisons to other opposition figures, clarifying that his call was not for retirement but for a return to learning. His strong condemnation underscores a significant political challenge for the current administration as the country looks towards the next election cycle.
