Stray bullet from family fight kills neighbor watching from balcony

A family dispute escalated into a fatal shooting in Mersin's Akdeniz district, resulting in the death of a neighbor who was observing the commotion from his balcony. The incident occurred when a stray bullet struck 31-year-old İsmail Karaduman.

Karaduman was watching the unfolding events from his balcony when he was hit by the gunfire. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his wounds.

The altercation reportedly began as an argument among family members, quickly escalating into a physical confrontation involving a firearm. The bullet that tragically killed Karaduman was one of several fired during the dispute.

Following the incident, riot police were deployed to the area due to heightened tensions. Authorities have since detained five suspects in connection with the shooting, including individuals identified as Ömer Ç. and Furkan Ç. An investigation into the case is ongoing.
