Streamlining the Apparatus to Become Stronger, Better Care for the People

Hanoi, Vietnam – In a move described as a "revolution" in its organizational structure, Vietnam's Fatherland Front (MTTQ VN) is embarking on a significant streamlining process throughout 2025. This initiative, driven by high-level political directives, aims to create a more cohesive and effective body that better serves the nation and its people.

The reform is a direct response to the Central Committee's and Politburo's vision for a more compact and efficient political system. Following the Politburo's Decision No. 304-QĐ/TW and subsequent amendments to the MTTQ VN law passed by the National Assembly, various socio-political organizations are being integrated under the MTTQ VN umbrella. This consolidation is seen as a strategic step towards realizing the Party's goal of a leaner, more impactful political apparatus, especially as Vietnam enters a new era of development.

Bùi Thị Minh Hoài, Chairman of the Central Committee of MTTQ VN, emphasized the political will behind this transformation. "This is the highest political determination, a strategic step to realize the guiding viewpoint of the Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat, led by the General Secretary, for a streamlined political system that operates effectively and efficiently, meeting the urgent requirements for the country to step firmly into a new era – the era of Vietnam's resurgence," Hoài stated. This sentiment highlights the national pride and ambition driving these reforms.

The restructuring will see the Central Committee's MTTQ VN agency reduced to 29 subordinate departments and units, with provincial and local levels also reorganizing their specialized committees. This consolidation is expected to strengthen the "common house" of the Fatherland Front, enabling it to better amplify the voices of all segments of society – from workers and farmers to intellectuals, religious followers, and overseas Vietnamese. The overarching aim is to foster greater national unity and ensure that the aspirations of the people are swiftly and effectively represented, embodying the Vietnamese spirit of solidarity and mutual support, especially in times of natural disaster and hardship.
