Strong Support for DPRD Speaker Ahead of Cianjur Golkar Election

Support for Metty Triantika, the current speaker of the Cianjur Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), is strengthening as the Golkar Party's regional leadership election approaches. A total of 24 out of 32 sub-district branch managers (PK) of the Golkar Party have declared their support for the Cianjur DPRD speaker to continue her leadership for the 2026-2031 term. The declaration of support for Triantika, who also serves as the deputy chairwoman of the West Java Golkar DPD, took place at the Rossier Cafe Saung Nikmat meeting hall in Cianjur on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Attendees included the chairmen and secretaries of the Golkar Party's sub-district branches, as well as several party elders. Muhamad Irfan Toyalisi, representing the Young Generation of the Cianjur Golkar Party, along with Rio Anggun Candra, Chairman of the Kadupandak sub-district branch, officially announced their support for Metty Triantika. They cited her integrity, organizational experience, leadership capacity, and strong track record as reasons for their backing. The declaration was witnessed by a notary and land deed official to formalize the support. In her speech, Metty Triantika conveyed her gratitude and appreciation for the trust placed in her by the party cadres. She described the support as a significant mandate that she must fulfill through concrete actions to strengthen the Golkar Party. If re-elected, Triantika stated her commitment to building a more solid, modern, open, and community-focused party. "I express my gratitude for the trust given by the extended family of the Golkar Party. This support is a mandate that I must account for through work, dedication, and togetherness," she stated. She aims to lead Golkar with a focus on internal unity rather than division, strengthening organizational consolidation down to the village level. "Golkar must be a big house for everyone. There will be no more factional differences after the regional election. What exists is a shared spirit to grow the party," she said. Addressing future challenges, Triantika emphasized the importance of regaining public trust through tangible work, community service, and grassroots organizational strengthening.
